We use this pub when the football is on. No, that’s not all the time! My other half is a fan, just not the Notts kind! Ssh, don’t tell anyone!
It will do; just. The food is only just adequate because it’s so cheap. The stafff are usually polite and friendly.
It is sooo much better since the smoking ban!

I am reviewing this pub as a lunch time user and not a night time visitor, so my comments and descriptions only apply to what I know from visiting it at that time of day.
From my point of view it is great for getting out from the office, grabbing a quick bite to eat and a lunch time drink. It doesn’t get too busy like some of the other pubs around the ruddington, west bridgford, compton acres area at lunch time and so it means you don’t spend your whole break queing at the bar or waiting for food.
There is nothing great about the interior and layout of the place, but nothing to grumble about either. It is a good steady standard pub and the staff I have come across in there have always been polite and friendly.
Plenty of parking in the front and back means this place is definitely worth a visit if you fancy a hassle free lunch break from the office. Food is also extremely well priced with several offers meaning that you can get something decent for under a fiver!

The service is very poor with them bringing the wrong food out on the two occasions we have been. They did however apologise. The hot chocolate was tasteless.
The tables and toilets are grubby
