I’m here on a Wedsesday afternoon waiting for my car to get fixed so the place is pretty empty and I can’t speak for the evening atmosphere.
The music is present but not intrusive, same for the TV, thete’s lots of comfy seating and a pool table.
Only one ale on (they say they usually have more) but the quality was fine, and they do a CAMRA discount.
I’d come back to give this place a try in the evening if I lived round here.

This is a nice pub, it’s on the walk into town up Derby Road for Nottingham students so often gets stopped off at for a quick pint or three on the way in. The prices are quite reasonable here and it does some decent food too.
Being outside town it doesn’t get as busy as some other places, the busiest time is probably when students are walking to town so about 7−9pm, and between these hours it can be pretty rammed.
The staff are friendly and the décor is pretty nice in here, it was redone a few years back and has some nice comfy chairs in, it has an upstairs and downstairs bar too!
