Thought we’d drop into Nottingham on the way back from a weekend in Riga flying from East Midlands and very glad we did! It was around 2.30 so we were delighted that this restaurant stays open until 3.30. The design of the restaurant is very modern, but still keeps a very Thai style. The lunch menu is a real bargain at £9.90 including a cuppa. The first cup they brought was cold, but it was quickly replaced by a hot one. The food was served very stylishly and we especially appreciated the heart shaped rice! The restaurant is in a really funky area full of independent shops, well worth a look round.

Lovely décor, calming soft music, muted lighting, cool and with the echo of running water features. Tarn Thai has a lovely ambience and good service from smart, polite staff.
The food menu is large and all dishes are beautifully presented on large square plates with carved carrot and salad garnish. Plates don’t seemed be warmed first though… All food is tasty and full of flavour, but not too spicy. Extra chilli usually lurks somewhere on the dish, so beware if you don’t want it.
Coffee is good, there’s an extensive wine list, Asian beers and fruit juices.

Great value lunch menu! Décor is very glam, with water features and extremely comfortable dining chairs. Very spacious and staff are impeccably presented, as well as courteous and helpful.

Probably my favourite Thai restaurant in Nottingham. I never really pay too much attention to my surroundings in restaurants (as long as they are clean) as I am far more interested in the food, however this place has a classy look and feel to it, and the food has the substance to back up the image.
One small gripe, last time I went, the menu was a bit of a jumble… a fairly random book of dishes, in an order that is not too easy to follow. I would recommend that the owners take a look at reprinting. It gives the feeling that there are almost too many dishes to choose from. However, only a small issue.
What I found great was that when ordering the set meals, the staff were happy to be flexible, and change dishes around if requested. Too many places are inflexible on set meals, but they seem happy to accommodate here.
It won’t be the cheapest meal you’ve had, but you will probably leave feeling that what you paid was worth the money. Fragrant and subtle dishes, with some very spicy ones thrown in. Service has always been good, however I have only been on weeknights when they haven’t been too busy.

Been here a few times and found the set lunch menu to be really quite good value & very tasty but eating in the evening at the weekend you can feel a little hemmed in as the place gets quite crowded and the meal I had wasn’t that spectacular, probably cos it was so busy. Not wildly expensive, but not the cheapest meal out either and the house white wine is awful.

The toilets were LOVELY!
Certainly one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to.

Have eaten here several times with family and friends. There is loads to choose from on the menu and you get plenty for your money. The ambience of the venue is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out if you like thai food. Very busy at weekends so booking in advance is required.

A beautiful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are always on hand whenever you need them. Food was gorgeous, price was good. Does not overcharge for alcoholic drinks like most restaurants. Word of warning though, the food is quite spicy. If you are unsure about having your food too spicy go for food with no chilli symbols, as this is what I had and it was still spicy. Lovely food though.

This is the nicest Thai restaurant that I have ever been to. Food is prepared to the highest standards by authentic Thai chefs and the food is amazing. The menu is very varied and we chose a mix of dishes which were all completely delicious.
The hospitality is fantastic and the staff are courteous and attentive and very happy to help you choose from their extensive menu. The set menus will really give you a taste for all Tarn Thai has to offer.
The surroundings are fantastic. Water features, immaculate dining furniture (brown leather chairs and spacious tables) and beautiful authentic wc’s.
Booking in advance is essential as this is a very popular restaurant.
Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed if you love Thai food and live in the Nottingham area.
