Marrakech

Some of the lamest customer service ever can be found here. It was so disappointing! Marrakech looks so cool with this Moroccan décor, neon lighting and authentic belly dancer. I really wanted to like the place!
We were seated pretty quickly, but it was a good 20 minutes before a server came round for drinks and to take our order. I found a nice vegetarian couscous meal that sounded fantastic aside from the fact that it had raisins in it (I HATE raisins). I asked the server if I could please have mine without raisins. He said no because they were too busy for special orders. I looked around and saw that there were two tables with people in them, and about five empty tables. It didn’t look too busy to me. I didn’t want an argument, so I just ordered something else. It was an hour and 20 minutes before our food arrived. It was good, I will give them that. My friend ordered a spicy dish that was a little too spicy for his tastes. He flagged down the server and asked if there was any sort of sauce that he could have to offset the spiciness. Yoghurt sauce? Tomato sauce? Anything? And the server said no. He said they didn’t have any sauce. What sort of restaurant has no kind of sauce at all? None, I think. I really think we just had the bad luck of getting a server that didn’t feel like doing any extra work.
Totally lame.
