A very nice country pub/restaurant. A small, but nice selection of beers including local micro-brewery cask ales. Food menu is good and varied for a «standard» menu with an extra specials menu of more expensive dishes. I had a gorgeous little homemade shortcrust pastry steak, stilton & mushroom pie with fat chips and a large side plate of veg from the standard menu. All were VERY well cooked and full of flavour. The pie pastry was perfect! My wife had a gorgeously juicy, big, thick Barnsley chop from the specials menu. Again, it was perfectly cooked and came with nicely designed bacon wrapped bushell of French beans. We will definitely be back!
