A lovely looking authentic pub with a good selection of beers. Lacons Encore is a delicious golden beer and I took the beer name’s advice and ordered myself a second drink of this good stuff. Also tried Mad Wolf by the Wolf Brewerry. Unfortunately it was not as interesting as it sounds

Blimey what a find. And in Norwich. Tucked away by the cathedral, you have a great array of well kept ales, a good selection of Scottish wine and a superb menu all very reasonably priced. The staff are great, the inside lovely and an outside sun trap for the occasional moment in Norwich that there isn’t a howling Arctic wind or lashing rain. Free wifi, no hipsters, no one-​eyed locals and an average stream of world changing political conversation. What’s not to like?!

Cracking little pub opposite the cathedral, with plenty of outdoor seating on a sunny day, and tasty guest ales. They had an offer on prosecco when I was there — £3 a glass, and it was proper tasty stuff too.
Good lunch and dinner menus — we went for burgers from the bar snacks menu, mine being the stilton and mushroom, for £4.95, and it was tastier than any of them fancy ones from GBK, fo sho.
And it’s been there for ages. My dad used to frequent it when he was a young ‘un and there was a dance hall down the road. Happy days :)
