It’s not Old Orleans anymore, it changed name. Food it’s just normal.

Went for what I hoped would be a quick bite to eat before the football at Carrow Road. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, yet our one course took approximately 45 minutes to be served from ordering. Furthermore they forgot part of the order! However there wasn’t time to complain, so went without and did not pay for it. Poor form!
The food itself is exactly what you’d expect from a chain like this. My Spicy Bean Burger tasted straight out of a freezer into a microwave, and the accompanying chips looked and tasted like they’d been deep fried quite a while ago and then left under a heat lamp to stay warm.
There are a number of other chain restaurants on the walk to Carrow Rd and they are all almost certainly better than Old Orleans. I can’t say I’m disappointed as I wasn’t expecting anything great, but I certainly shan’t be returning.

I had something of a better experience than the last reviewer, fortunately. I hadn’t heard good things about Old Orleans, and probably wouldn’t have visited it if friends hadn’t already picked it in advance. Parking in the multi-​story took some time on a busy weekend near the holidays, so be sure to plan ahead. The restaurant is nearly next door to a Vue theatre, with lots of other restaurants around, making it a fun place to walk along. While the food wasn’t out of this world, it was passable. My fajitas were underspiced, but otherwise straightforward and and close enough to being American style that I felt like I got a bit of home. My friend’s ribs were an impressive portion size, but he was minorly disappointed that they were overcooked. My boyfriend, who prefers his burger plain and simple, really liked what he got and appreciated that the waitress offered him onion rings in place of toppings. The service wasn’t outstanding, but nothing to complain about either. Dessert was, as we expected, very very rich with large potion sizes.
Overall, it was okay. Probably a good location for a big group.

Location, atmosphere etc. all as per other reviews, however I must have picked an off day. My Wife and I had visited the Cinema (St Tinian’s 2 at 12:00) and thought we would try the 2 for 1 Cinema ticket offer. We decided on burgers, my wife had the cheeseburger and I had the black and blue. What a disappointment, both burgers were cold, no flavour or texture to the black & blue, the cheeseburger was grisly and again no flavour. We both had to leave the burgers. We can honestly say these were the most unappetising burgers we have ever had. No visit from the waiting staff to ask if the meal was OK, I guess they were aware there was a problem. I pointed out the problem when asking for the bill and paying, but no offer of an apology or reason. We will never know if the 2 for 1 offer is inferior food as we will never visit again. It was also cold in the restaurant, I was told the heating was not working.

Can I give zero stars? I hope so. The last time I went here there was no heating (in january) and we had to wait over an hour for the worst, crusty fried food with half a lettuce leaf on the side. I can’t say I’ve ever heard anything good about this place from friends either. It’s best left alone methinks!

Blechh. The cornbread is mushy poop. Had a burger that was mediocre. I was afraid of the rest of the stuff on the menu because it seemed like it was all stuff that would come from the freezer aisle of the grocery store. I’m pretty sure the burger was frozen, too.
Our server dropped the ball and didn’ t «put our mains through» until half an hour after the cornbread was brought out, so it was almost an hour to get our food.

The 2 for 1 fajita deals during the week here are brilliant. Riverside location and good service. Hey you even get a free dish of popcorn whilst you wait for your meal. Excellent cocktails and good choice of food.

Nicely located on Riverside, it is perfect for going onto the cinema (they do a 2 for 1 deal if you show your tickets) or a night out.
The food is Deep South with a nice selection of steaks, burgers, ribs, and the like.
Portion sizes are good no one will go home hungry!
My only complaint is that service can be a little slow (especially if you’ve bought your film tickets to get in on the deal) but the staff are lovely and helpful.

It may be a franchise, but that’s never stopped me loving Old Orleans. Situated on the riverside next door to the Odeon Cinema, this is one of the best places to get a meal and unwind. Stuffed to the rafters with enough quirky style for a place twice as large, its easy to lose track of time here. The food is usually pretty good and the prices are definitely good. A great way to start an evening out.

great family resturant, love the idea of the paper table cloths with crayons to draw all over them. good atmosphere and great service.

A really nice authentic resturant, the standard of service os always good alothugh when its busy you may have to wait a while to get your order. They do special deals on different days of the week & its a good placeto go with friends for a meal before you hit the clubs around riverside

Situated ideally next to the cinema on Riverside, this is one of my Kids’ favourite places to eat. Downstairs is a bar area and upstairs a very family friendly restaurant. An excellent menu with a range of American South style food — burgers, ribs, chicken, steak, nachos, — at good prices. Decent portion sizes mean that no one goes home hungry and the staff are always happy to help out if you have a fussy eater amongst you!
Perfect for groups, and due to its location on Riverside, this can get noisy, but the atmosphere is generally fun and relaxed — ideal for birthdays and the like, and perfect for a meal after you have been to the pictures!

This is a large place in the Riverside Complex. I’ve had meals here before and also sampled their cocktails (goooood!). You can often get special deals on their meals and sometimes cocktails too. It’s decked out in USA style and can be quite dark inside. It’s a good place to meet before going on to somewhere else.
