Pitsford Water Cycle Hire

I don’t know an awful lot about the hire side of things at Pitsford Cycles but the staff are really friendly and honest and fairly cheap (I got a full service and 2 parts replaced for around £80 which is great), if you have an expensive bike I would advise to go here to get it sorted!

This is a great shop in a great venue. This is the perfect place to bike, walk and play in. Great bike track that is manageable for even the youngest of kids. And the shop is great. These guys really know what they are talking about — whether you are buying or renting. Good quality bikes to rent. Hats to hire. And if you are buying you will find everything you need with good patient advice.

My friends and I recently took advantage of a voucher offer to get buy one get one free on bike hire at Pitsford through the Pitsford Water Cycle company. The staff were extremely helpful and the quality of bikes were good. We spent an extremely enjoyable afternoon taking our time to cycle around the reservoir and stopping for an ice cream along the way. The cycle path is very well kept and the scenery very pleasant on a summer’s afternoon. The staff at the hire shop even allowed us to borrow their hose to wash down our friend after she came off the bike into a bog!

This is a great feature of Pitsford Water and in fact the area is so big that you may need a bike to get around the whole lake! It is the best way to enjoy this beautiful location and ideal for a healthy, fun day out. The cycle shop has a huge range of bikes to choose from, though be warned — prices are quite high. You can choose to hire them for a just a couple of hours or for the whole day if you prefer. The cycle hire shop also sells bikes and even has a website you can buy from direct. Helmets are also available. Ideal if you don’t have your own bike or if you can’t fit it in your car.

A true gem in the crown of Northamptonshire, a really well maintained country park with a path around the resorvoir which is approx 7 miles long.
The cycle shop sells, rents & repairs cycles for all ages.
As the track goes around the water there’s no steep hills to climb.
A fantastic day out. plenty for the kids to do also.

Many improvements have been made at Pitsford recently, with the help of a grant from the Millennium Fund. This was used to create ‘access for all’ at Pitsford Water and has led to the creation of £1.5 million development at Brixworth Country Park.
