Several restaurants in the area, including several Indian places. Wish we had gone to a different one. The food was actually OK, not great. The prawn puri tasted very odd. No spice at all with an artificial tomato flavour. The king prawn was tasteless. The complementary side-dish, some sort of tandoori chicken was actually nicer than my main which was an unimpressive Korii chicken. The garlic naan was nice. The main problem with the visit was the horrible individual(I will would not describe him as a man). Let’s overlook the horrendous personal hygiene(eye-watering BO and breath that would make monkey blush) and go straight on to his inter-personal skills. He seemed incredulous with rage that my partner didn’t want a starter, but did want a poppadom with chutney. When it arrived, before my unimpressive starter, my partner decided to wait for me before nibbling on her poppadom. «THIS is the poppadom» he informed us in a horrible manner. We thanked him and told him we were aware of this and suggested he not worry about that. He had a bit of a think about this before telling us he thought we were Polish. How this had anything to do with anything was beyond me. The arrogant air of this fellow was actually comical. You’d have thought he was curing cancer or something. He proceeded to be obnoxious for the remainder of the service during which I noticed him deliberately ignoring other people desperately trying to gain his attention. I am glad he took the time out to bore us with the information that he works at a restaurant in North Finchley for 3 nights of the week. It is good to know he shares his joy across more than one establishment. Oh, I liked the added touch of charging £2.10 for the chutney with the poppadom, even though it would blatantly be reused. That was a new one. Avoid please. Reading the reviews on tripadvisor, these exact concerns a repeated time and time again. Wish I would have read them before going to this hole.

It’s Ok but can feel like a conveyor belt. Standard curries. Lots of larger. Fine but really not exceptional in any way.

Top quality Indian cuisine, lovely setting, excellent service and a very wide menu. As the other review above says, it isn’t cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. I have ordered a takeaway from there before and it was disappointig compared to the excellent eat-in offering.

Hands down the best place to eat in Devon, for Indian food! Great atmosphere, polite professional staff and of course, amazing food. Not cheap, but reasonably priced for the quality you get.
