Crantock Bay Hotel

Great Hotel, would recommend to all, quiet and polite staff, overall a 5 star rating is well deserved!

A great family hotel that is also perfect for a relaxing romantic break. Large comfortable rooms (most with sea view), spacious public areas, a great swimming pool with good spa facilities and a breathtaking view. Top that off with the warmest welcome, amazing clifftop walks and one of the best beaches in Cornwall, this is a must visit hotel. We went with our kids and felt completely at ease despite their sometimes highspirited antics! There is plenty to do as a family with good play areas and a tennis court outside. We also noted that the hotel offers a lot of different special interest breaks which looked very interesting.

I’m going to fess up right away — I had my wedding reception here, so my opinion may be clouded by romantic memories. Nah — I’m not that sort of girl!
What is important is that, on the first visit to this beautiful hotel, I was sold. We decided there and then that this was the only place we wanted to have our party. I mean ‘wedding breakfast’, ahem…
At first glance, to be honest, it doesn’t look THAT amazing. The décor is a little dated (sorry, Tony!), and it also looks a little small when you first approach it.
BUT — once you get in the door and to the dining room, I defy you not to take a sharp intake of breath. You just do not get better views across the bay than this.
And the food — bloody hell, it’s good. Seriously, guys — if you fancy spoiling your better half you could earn serious Brownie points spending a night here. They hold annual Valentines events, have a seriously swanky spa, and a lovely swimming pool. The clientele is very broad — everything from local business men, to golden oldies, to couples and families — and even folks like me!
Having been run by the same family for 3 generations, these people know their business exceptionally well. Whether you’re after romance; walking; fitness or serious food, the Crantock Bay quite simply has it all…
