Matalan Clearance Store

If you are not after the latest fashion, but a good bargain, then this is the place to go! I bought my daughter 3 complete new outfits (tops & bottoms) and paid under a tenner! And lots of times you get 3 for 2 as well. In times of the credit crunch, I am over the moon to have access to a shop like this.

love this store its brill got eveything there and veery cheap to and the staff are good, fast service and very good parking.

Awesome place, many great bargins to be had. I have always found the staff at Matalan Clearance Store very friendly and helpful. Very good parking always found a space without having to wait. Ques at checked reasonable but getting closer to Christmas you can expect longer ques everywhere. Good selection of men, women and childrens clothes. Also very nice range of house ware such as kitchen utilites, crockery, cutlery, etc. I personally like there range of christmas decorations all at fantastic prices and if you catch the Matalan Clearance sales your in for a real bargin. I once bought a velvet dress ideal for parties for a quid. The only downfall is that sometimes it can look a bit like a jumble sale in there if you go late in the day on a sale day after people have been rumaging for bargins, but overall good place to grab a bargin.

This is a fairly big clearance shop located on Newport retail park. The shop stock adults and children’s clothes and a few bits of household stuff. The prices in here are so cheap and they often do deals like buy 3 and get the cheapest free etc. I have brought quite alot of childrens clothes from there some being only 50p. I find the shop has mostly last seasons stock like if you were to go in there now then it will be mostly summer stuff in there. So it is good for getting ready for next year. I think the store could be a bit better organised as it’s sometimes difficult to find things. But it’s one of those stores where you need to spend time looking through the stuff and I have to admit there’s lots of bargains to be had. They also sell shoes in there none were really to my taste. But they did have some simple vest tops and bright maxi dreeses for cheap. They don’t change the stock very often so it’s worth going in there just every now and then.

This is a great store for a REAL bargain, my sister in law once bought a really nice pair of jeans for a pound in here i couldnt believe it! You can find some really nice things in here but you do really have to search most of the time!

I thank my lucky stars the day my friend’s mum found this amazing place. Situated around the back of the Newport Retail Park its a clearance store for the Matalan fashion store chain. Matalan itself is pretty reasonable when it comes to prices but this place is amazingly cheap!
There is a wide range of clothes here — ladies and mens clothing as well as childrens, shoes, underwear and some (not much) homeware. It’s all stock from previous (and occassionally current) seasons that they now wish to get rid of. There are no changing room so my tip is to wear a vest that you can try things on over (there are mirrors) and a skirt so you can try trousers/​skirts on underneath! It’s pretty basic but worth the rummage and lack of changing rooms for the prices.
They often have special deals on — I went recently and it was buy one get one free. I bought a really nice shirtdress and a lovely silk top which were £6 each. This came to a total of £6 for the two items — that’s £3 each wow!
My friends and I have come out with bags of stuff from here — it’s a real pot luck but on a good day you won’t believe what you can get. I love it!
