The locals rave about The Swan with Two Necks and it gets very busy, you need to book. It’s a very big country pub. The bar area and main restaurant are very pleasant. It was a bit of a shame as we were sat around the corner in the extension, which lacks the same atmosphere. Be warned it’s not cheap, six pound something for a pint of draught ale and lime soda seemed a bit steep. Anyway the food, it looked great. However I think I ordered badly ‘The Sausage Wellington’ I didn’t know what it really was but I expected something a bit more than a large sausage roll with mash potato. It wasn’t the warmest either. My dining partner’s dish lacked some imagination too. If I was invited back by friends I probably give it another go but I probably wouldn’t head there under my own steam. Very much style over substance.
