Plenty of car parking and a large shop. A good selection of products although not all of it of a great quality. Having said that the prices are very reasonable for what you’re getting and you can get some even better bargains in their sales. The staff seem friendly. Worth checking out, especially for kids clothes.

This place has a large car park and is easy to find The shop is well organised and quite cheap it often has really good sales on you can find some ranges here that are hard to find elsewhere It sells a really good range of underwear and big brand jeans for cheaper prices and also it has a large range of household stuff. The tablewear is good quality and a lot cheaper than elsewhere. There are several tills which are always staffed so no longe queues.
The changing roomd are large and well lit

Been here a couple of times, its a big store and has a wide range of clothing, shoes, home goods and gifts that can be described as cheap and cheerful. It is’nt quality but they did have some nice stuff. There is also a huge department in the Killingworth Store dedicated to party stuff. There’s everything from fancy dress (wigs as well) to invitations, balloons, banners ect. They also offer the helium filled foil balloons. It’s not expensive either compared to what you would pay elsewhere.
Outside there is a huge free car park, which is a bonus.

From clothes to candles, luggage to electricals this home shopping chain has it all. Situated in The Killingworth Centre, this shop is worth a look in when price checking because you’ll often find better deals or certain items that it’s neighbours, Morrissons and Wilkinsons simply don’t have. When it comes down to the price of kitchenware, Matalan could be described as the mainstream or more marketable version of Poundstretchers. Modern mums love it. Clothes are as cheap as they appear. That said, a lot of people will get bargains from the clothes section and their friends will think they shopped at GAP. Fashionable clothes for women, men and children are sold. There is plenty of space to move about in and I have never seen this shop busy. Worth a look if you’re a student on a budget. Cool cushions and candles are the highlights.
