This place has gone through quite the change in recent years! The past few times I’ve visited I’ve been shocked by how good the food is! The menu is really varied with sandwiches, pizzas, mexican, burgers and salads etc. It’s going to take a little while to decide on what you’re having so you should factor that into your eating plans. My partner and I visited this weekend, I had the Cesar salad which was really fresh(although it came with anchovies — not sure that anyone eats these and enjoys them!!!) My partner had the bbq pork sandwich and he demolished it in about 20 seconds! The restaurant doesn’t have much of an atmosphere but it’s nice for a quick bite to eat.

A lovely pub near the law courts alone the riverside. If sitting outside or by the entrance you can see the baltic, sage and millennium bridge. Although they have TVs that show the football at times, I have been in when to football wasn’t and found it quiet with low music I lovely place to eat end have a chat with friends. The peaking duck pizza there is the best, and you can see the chef cooking the pizzas in their pizza oven along from the bar depending where you sit.

The Waterline is a nice spot for burgers and pizza and ales and lagers. The duck pizza with hoisin cause was particularly nice. This is a great spot for drinks near the river when the sun is out. I tried the mini chicken kebab and it was alright but it only confirmed to stick to burgers and pizza at The Waterline.

Came in here to watch one of the England matches. Great atmosphere and plenty of space to accommodate all the people who turned up! Great and quick service at the bar, a decent range of beers, wines and ales but a disappointing lack of cider. Didn’t try the food but heard good things!

I have enjoyed a few beers and a few meals at The Waterline. My favorite is the ‘garlic dough balls’ which sounds a little dirty, but they are quite tasty little balls of dough that you dip in a lovely creamy garlic butter. The pizza definitely leaves something to be desired, and the sandwiches are good, but nothing fantastic. They have a decent selection of food for a pub, at a reasonable price, and some good beers. It is also in a nice location so that if you’re walking there, you have a great view of the millennium bridge.

Not a bad little bar, it’s one of those places on the quayside that is great when the weather is hot, but not so attractive the rest of the time(which in newcastle is a lot of the time). I can’t say ive ever enjoyed the food from there, but i havent had any in a while so it may have changed. The only other downpoint i would say is that it isnt particularly in a central location, and you can expect a canny hike to other bars.

This is a great place to eat and drink. Food on the menu is good quality and there is a good choice, this is also a great bar to sit outside in the summer, but beware you might sit there longer than you anticipated. The bar and outside area is clean and the staff are friendly. I really would recommend.

I would definately recommend the waterline to somebody looking for a spot on luch on the quayside. The food is nice and you get a lot of food for very reasonable prices. Service is excellent as well, I recently went for lunch with a group of about 10 people from work and the food was served within 5 – 10 mins of ordering. Very useful when you have a limited about of time for a lunch break.
