Subway

Two friends (and their baby) and I went to Subway on Collingwood street in order to have good food and a sit down for a late lunch.
The service was nothing short of appalling. The staff appeared to have no idea what they were doing and were really confused when — after they’d assembled the cheese on my veggie patty — I didn’t want my sandwich toasted… Taking the cheese off the patty and toasting it was quite an effort for them.
The Internet was down, which wasn’t their fault, so the card machine wasn’t working. What could have been dealt with better was the use of the till and taking the cash. As I have a Subcard and the Internet was down, they wouldn’t scan my card — they did however manage to scan my friend’s card. Getting a receipt so that I could potentially redeem my points later was another thing that seemed to cause the female staff a huge problem.
When we eventually got sat down, my sandwich was badly made and barely staying together. The staff completely disappeared and when two gentlemen came in looking to be served, no one appeared. The gentlemen waited several minutes and even rang the bell to get the attention of the staff but no one came. The men eventually left without buying anything.
The seating areas could have been cleaner also.
