A pub with a very «wetherspoony» kind of feel. Very popular with the students in the area. The food is alright for pub grub and food and drink prices are about average.
Serves well as a meeting place before you move on to somewhere else. Very well situated right next to the West Jesmond metro.

A small convenience store just around the corner from the west jesmond metro. Not the friendliest of places nor is it very cheap, only good for the lazy (and its in a mainly student area so does quite well). This year they’ve put a 85p ‘tax’ on getting change for the metro ticket, you have to spend this amount to have any chance of paying with even a £5 note. Sells the usual drinks, chocolate, sweets, beer, cigarettes, afew spirits and magazines. Does offer to get any magazine subscription you want in stock for you and usually has a decent amount of adverts in the window to browse thrugh whilst waiting for someone.
