Tasty Thai food — lots of different options, both meat and veggie. There are set lunch and dinner menus at a good price(£6.90 and £7.90, respectively). I had prawn crackers and chicken satay for starters. I can’t remember the name of my main course, but it was #41 which was a spicy stir fry(2 spice signs) with pork and vegetables and holy basil leaves. This main course, especially, was delicious — couldn’t stop stuffing my face!

A nice little restaurant tucked away in Low Friar Street, but easily within walking distance of both the Academy and the Arena. A friendly relaxed, atmosphere. A varied menu of authentic Thai dishes, well presented and efficiently served. Bangkok Café also serves a range of Thai beers which go down a treat with the spicier dishes. For those on a budget there’s a daily set menu which doesn’t skimp on quality and is excellent value. Well worth seeking out.

What a find this little place is. I’ve now eaten here half a dozen times and it’s never disappointed. Very relaxed atmosphere and a good choice of traditional Thai dishes, authentically cooked. I suspect they tone down the spices a little, but that’s forgivable. Well worth a visit.

When first entering the Bangkok café, its extremely difficult to decide whether its a café, bar or restaurant. The staff however are very friendly and quickly make you feel at home. My friend and I went to lunch one day and got chatting to one of the chefs who was a lovely thai lady who i think co-owns the place. The food was absolutely lovely, very authentic and exceptionally cheap. Well worth a lunch visit, and it picks up in the evening.
