Loads of Student/​Sixth form staff to get annoyed with, if that’s your thing,
but please do it after they’ve served me,
Sorry had a few experiences of upset staff members when I’ve visited,
but in fairness to other customers, there are sometimes reasons for complaint.
Menu is pretty standard, but they seem to have problems in keeping popular dishes available, and at times when they insist on queuing at a separate till whilst the entire bar is empty for food is beyond me, and annoying when you get to the front to find that some selections aren’t available.
Just lately I substitued a selection from the menu as the one I wanted wasn’t there, and we all paid as a table and split the bill, but it was more expensive than we thought, at which point the subliminal round of accusations went around as to who had been greedy, and it turned out it was me. I had picked something which wasn’t part of the two for one offer,
The menu had it placed in with all the others, and it had little logos all over the place for various features. but the tiny thing I never noticed was that it was the Only one in that section of the menu NOT part of the offer
I was annoyed but I’d already eaten it by then. so feeling guilty I paid the extra, which was about 2 quid, and all because my first choice wasn’t available.
but if you can get by the crying saturday girls,
the staff arguing with the bar manager and getting dressed down in full view of the customers when it’s busy,
the majority of the time this place is not too bad.

Cheap food, clean, comfortable, freindly staff. what more can you say. I use it regularly when my wife cant be bothered to cook.

I eat at Lord Ted regulary and find it great value (2 for1), warm and comfortable, reliable, great service and the staff are also pleasant and helpful

Great value (2 for 1). Heard stories of bad steak, but never had problem.
Cheap as chips, but geat food.
Good service.

good food fast service kids love it & the staff very helpful it can get busy sat & sun mid afternoons so i advise you go early or wait til later on all main 2 for 1 very good value, kid friendly too
