The Bistro sits inside the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh. The menu is fairly basic and not particularly of the ‘bistro’ variety, more like nice café/lunch spot. They’re open 9 – 5 most days and until 7.30pm on a show night. It’s very reasonably priced and the wine selection is pretty good for a place like this(many theatres I’ve been to have either a red or a white so it’s quite nice to see a bit of variety on the menu in that sense). We were in on a busy lunch time but the service was still good and the staff particularly pleasant and helpful. They have a wee little children’s section with lots of toys and things to keep them occupied which is nice :) We only ordered a couple of sandwiches(Prawn Marie & Coronation Chicken) which came with homemade coleslaw, tortilla chips and salad. They were lovely. So much so that I even ate my crusts, haha! I’ll be back in here again no doubt(I live across the road so it’s inevitable) and if my opinion of it changes Ill be updating my review :)
