It’s cheap, and it’s the closest bar to the station. That’s about it for memorable things about here.
Staff are fine, if a little harassed at times, it’s quite a busy wee place, even when I was in earlier on in the night. They have plenty of TVs to show whatever sport is on (Scottish football and horse racing when I was in) and there’s a jukebox and karaōke advertised later on.
It’s not somewhere I would make a beeline for, but it’s not somewhere that I would have any worries about nipping in for a quick pint to get out of the rain or wait on a train — I’d imagine that would sum up the bulk of their custom.

The Horseshoe Bar is a bit of a strange one.
I wouldn’t normally venture in but, during one particularly booze fuelled evening with my work buddies, we decided to go in here on a Motherwell Pub crawl, which turned out to be more of a two pub affair, but none the less, a great laugh.
It is so small inside, shaped in a kind of half horseshoe formation, which is perhaps how it got its name. It hosts a Karaōke every Friday and Saturday, which was brilliant, with no shortage of singers!
The bar staff were nice and friendly, even letting one of our more merry pals dance on her seat!

good little pub, jam packed on a saturday night with it being karaōke night, drink prices very reasonable and the drunker you get the better looking the opposite sex become lol, had many a great night in here, lots of regulars trying their best to sing and dazzle, always good for a laugh, sunday night is quiz night, not too busy but still a good time to be had, last time i was in on a sunday we won the quiz and pocketed £50 which was a wee bonus to us, could be doing with some more bar staff on the busy nights though as it seems to take a long time to get served, well worth a visit even if it is just to see some of the ‘sights’ motherwell has to offer on a saturday night
