This place was a delightful little treasure trove to fuel the creative soul. From wool to fabrics, and a wide variety of crafting materials, you could probably find anything you desired here amongst the array of small barn like buildings. It’s nicely laid out, with plenty of spaces to explore, and also has a really lovely café serving great food. I enjoyed a hot pork and stuffing bap, and then took home a giant scone with cream for later. They do a wide selection of hot and cold food and of course, home baked cakes. All very reasonably priced. So, if you’re a crafter, it’s definitely a great place to visit, find stock, and enjoy tea and cake too!

I love going to Aberkhan, preferably alone.. If not, then then with a fellow yarn nut who understands that wanting and needing yarn are totally different but both essential! I’ve found the staff to be a great help, knowledgeable and friendly Can you ask for any more? The stock a decent range of yarn, but a large selection of materials and haberdashery items. The were a couple of steps to the upper floor but we couldn’t get up there(disabled daughter in wheelchair). We. Worth a poddel if you’re in the area.

This is a fabulous place and just up the road! Great bargins to be had too! Occasionally find the staff a bit grumpy and quite slow — but on the whole very friendly and know their stuff! Lots of lovely ribbons, buttons, crafting stuff and courses. Do check it out.

Abakhan is situated on the Coast Road between Mostyn and Greenfield. It has plenty of free parking and access is brilliant. It has various shops on the site including a coffee shop and play park for children. It doesn’t just sell fabric even though there is a lot of this to choose from and the warehouse is stacked full of different types. They have a craft shop and also a garden shop selling pots and statues for the garden. In the main building the sell gifts, handbags and household accessories such as cuchions and throws. I recently got married and went to Abakhan to stock up on my essentials. It has a lovely wedding section and I bought a tiara very cheap there. Abakhan is as cheap as you make it and bargains are there to be had if you look around and dig deep under the fabrics.

Firstly, this place is HUGE! It’s loads of fun, there’s fabric and such all over the place, but I love it. With ample parking, a(slightly bedraggled, yet competitively priced) café and lots and lots of fabric and knickknacks, this place is well worth a visit, you can spend a day working your way through the reams. They sell all things to do with fabric, including curtain poles, rings, cotton etc. All you need to turn yourself into a domestic Goddess(or God). Well all you need apart from the skill — which unfortunately I do lack. It is cold and a bit scruffy, but somehow it does seem to add to the atmosphere.

Abakhan is on the coast road between Prestatyn and Flint. I could spend hours here wandering round looking at all the yearns and the craft goodies. if you’re into crafts there is something for everybody. They sell knitting yarn by the pack or by the ball, material by the metre or on rolls. Bargain packs to be had of zips, fleece material ribbon etc. There is also a craft shop that sells everything you may need for card making, cross stitch etc. They often have demonstrations there as well if there is something you want to learn. They stay open till 8pm on a Thursday night and there is also a café/restaurant so you can spend hours there and get refreshments as well
