Library seems well organized. On first floor on the right is a «quiet room». You can use free wi-fi if you have own laptop with you. If you don’t have one with you, you can use one of internal computers — you can use it for 30 min for free per day. You need to have library card to use it(which is free too). There is available photocopying and memory cards at additional charge. There are couple activity session for different groups. I regularly participate in «sing-a-song» meetings for parents with small children on Tuesday mornings at 10am. Great fun for kids, my daughter loves it, friendly environment too. There is library section for small kids aswell. There is a car park by the library, but during the day always full.

This is a unique place — it has the iconic sculpture outside which is awesome and it’s very restful inside. If feels totally different from anywhere els ein MK but I guess that’s what libraries are like!

Milton Keynes library is a really good place to go and get books, read and study. They have a huge selection of books, which is constantly being updated. They now offer self service which means that you are not waiting around for ages to bring books back or take them out. Their reference section is impressive and they have table and study booths to work at. They have the daily papers each day and the opening times are reasonable. They do not open on a Sunday, which can be annoying. All in all a good library and very helpful staff.

I love this library. The staff are so helpfull and my daughter really loves the ‘reading’ sessions they have for little kids. Its such a hoot seeing little bitty’s with rattles trying to say the wheels on the bus. Their book selection is not bad and it spans 2 floors. There’s an elevator available if you cant use the stairs.

I’m a big fan of libraries, they let everyone have a chance to read without spending loads of money, they’re environmentally friendly too because books get really used properly before they get recycled. This library is huge! It’s on two floors, with the upstairs being the main lending library divided into kids, adult fiction and adult non-fiction. Downstairs on one side there’s the reference library which is very good and run by people who are very helpful too, and then on the other side there’s a section full of stuff on family history and they have micro feche readers and a full database of births deaths and marriages too. Great if like me you like that sort of thing. Oh they also have cd’s and dvd’s available to borrow too, although you do pay a small fee to borrow these it’s a lot lower than you’d pay borrowing them from a video shop, and you get to borrow them for longer too.
