One could argue this is just the canteen of a sportsclub. I would say, true, but it is the canteen of an Indian Cricket Club, tucked away behind some residential homes near Osterly station. And with Indian cricket comes great Indian food. Together with the relatively cheap beer makes this a perfect place to grab a pint and a curry and watch some sports TV inside, under the watchful eyes of the original Indian founding club members in full traditional dress on black and white photographs dating back to 1916. In summer the terrace is a great spot to watch some cricket while you can almost touch big fat jumbo jets coming overhead on their approach to Heathrow airport. And yes, there is a very African item on the menu: cassava chips… Remember Idi Amin? Quite a few Indian members originate actually from Africa. History + food. This place is interesting folks.
