This is a great little village pub with a great tradition and history. From the front it looks small but step inside and it is like stepping into the tardis. There is a warm and welcomin public bar as well as a family friendly eating area. the standard of food is excellent and at prices that are easy on the wallet. Upstairs is a small but formal restaurant as well as a small number of rooms available for guests. All food is sourced locally and is always fresh. Some excellent steaks are on offer as well as fresh fish fom Whitby. Well worth a visit especially in the summer as it looks out on to the old High Green.
