A rather dated shop I feel now in terms of clothing and the layout of the shop. I feel quite claustrophibic when walking through the rails as there is very little room to pass people by and the clothes seem to stick out at you, cling to you when you shuffle past and end up falling off the rail! Set on 2 levels you can find ladies, mens and childrens clothing. Upstairs there is quite a good lighting departement along with a good choice of home wear including cushions, bedding and pot pouri. Prices are reasonably cheap but I feel this reflects in the quality. There is a small café on the ground floor to relax in after shopping

This BHS is easily findable, with entrances from the main high street and from the Cleveland Mall. It has a small café with a pick and mix section and then the whole clothes array that is available. To be honest I don’t like it much. It’s a two floor building,(you can reach the car parking for the Cleveland Centre from the second floor) but the things the shop sells aren’t of hugely good quality and the whole shop is more often than not a bit of a tip. It’s a bit of a knock off marks and spencers place, with a homeware, games and clothing section. The prices aren’t expensive on the plus side. The staff are ok here, there isn’t any really young student types about but then again they do tend to watch you dissaprovingly as you browse through the selection. It’s ok for cheap bargains if you’re not plannign on keeping the goods for long, but it’s not a brilliant shop.
