Full marks for this tour. We rocked up at a few minutes to 1pm, when the next tour was due to start. However, we were told there wasn’t one and the guy who would be doing it was at lunch. After a couple of minutes the lady at the till said she would take us on the tour. It cost £27 for 4 peeps. Our tour guide, Lynne, was fabulous: knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Lynne went out of her way to answer all questions without a problem. It’s fascinating to see the equipment which has been used to brew the beer all this time. Amazing. The last stop was the onsite pub where we all had a voucher for a pint. Delicious.

Yes! Old Peculiar is great stuff and it is way better here than in the bottle(Grouse Beater was also delicious). The tour at Theakstons is really good and informative and you really get to see where and how they make their beer. It is an excellent history lesson and as an avid homebrewer, I really loved seeing their fermentation tanks and how they are still using facilities that were used in the 1800s. Really cool and worth the stop by. Also, you can grab a pint in their delightful pub.
