HOORAY! This Morrison’s has just opened self-service checkouts. The queues here are usually very long, as they never seem to have enough tills open. The self-serv should now make it a more pleasant place to visit. The bakery and deli areas are good, plenty of choice but sometimes the deli food looks a little dried upand you can sometimes wait a long time to be served, even if there are no other customers waiting.

A former Safeway. This has a large free car park and cash dispensers at the entrance. There is a dry cleaners and carpet cleaner hire service as you enter the store. They have clean toilets situated near the entrance(you have to follow a corridor for a while) The fruit and veg is the first department(as in most if not all Morrison stores) well stocked and good range of items. The aisles are wide and again, well stocked. I particularly like the bakery which is always tempting. I do sometimes struggle to find items in this branch of Morrisons despite the size of the store. They have a café serving snacks and full meals. It seems less popular than the Eccles branch although this may be because Swinton Precinct is less than 2 minutes away with various cafes and food outlets. This Morrisons is well situated and as the parking is free it is really useful when nipping in to Swinton Shopping centre.
