I really like the Stokers arms. It’s a great honest pub without too much pretension.
We popped along for the pub quiz (8pm every Wednesday) and some food and we weren’t disappointed. Like most pubs they do a burger and a drink deal, theirs coming in at £9. I had the chicken burger with bacon and avocado and my friend had the three cheese burger. Both were really good and were served with some really fantastic chips.
The quiz itself was great, pitched just about the right level. We enjoyed it so much we’re making it a weekly affair!

A really nice pub in the centre of Didsbury Village. The Stokers is a nice looking pub which has a real traditional feel about it. They do a great deal on a Wednesday where for £9 you get a burger, chips and a beer or glass of wine. The pub quiz on the same night is also good fun. The Stokers gets busy at the weekend but not so busy it’s rammed. The atmosphere is also chilled with a good mix of ages.

Probably the nicest Sunday roast In the village. The décor is refreshing and really comfortable and the prices are reasonable. But the thing that really makes this place is the staff. Fantastic customer service and always made to feel welcome and ‘part of the family’. Jamie and the staff are fantastic — a much welcome addition to the village. Well done.
