A great location on Deansgate close to the junction with Quay Street. Taking that into consideration it’s amazing that they have a good selection of meals on a 2 for £8.95 deal as well as pints of lager for £2.80. The décor maybe a little tired in places, but considering the low prices and the very high footfall I think it’s acceptable. They bring cutlery and sauces out soon after you order to lull you into a false sense of security thinking your food is about to arrive. However it can be another 20 – 30 minutes. The food is good, if not anything special and the portion size feels slightly ‘controlled’. There’s a nice range of desserts sold as 2 for £4.95.

The Lost Dene is your typical standard bar but it does what it says on the tin, cheap drinks and cheap pub food. Its not the most desirable bar in the city but due to its great location on Deansgate it’s close to everything in town. Its handy for a quick catch up with friends or a quick pub lunch. Apart from that nothing special.

Very nice and cheep pub in City center. Always busy but with out problem you can fund free space. Drinks are very cheep £2.80 for a pint of Carlsberg. Place looking little out of date but if you are with friends and you like cheep drinks who care lol. Nice place for saturday or sunday lunch.

The lost dene is a pub I’ve walked past on many occasion whilst living in Manchester. I’ve just never ventured in– that was until I organised a «pubs we’ve passed but never visited tour» on the weekend. It reminds me bit of a Wetherspoons inside(not that that’s a bad thing it’s one if my guilty pleasures check out my review of the JP Joule or Henglers Circus!). There are plenty of tables and the pub is much larger than it looks from the outside. Usual range of drinks and spirits. Good place to meet people before heading off out as drinks reasonably priced and it’s easy to find. Not saying it’s going to be my new local but if the occasion arises to venture in I will.
