The Elk

A decent little bar on Beech Rd. Wood all round and a deliciously appealing charcuterie /​pantry behind glass at the end of the bar. Also a few nice pieces of photography for sale from around Manchester on the walls. We were there late though so no opportunity to see what kinds of food choices there are. Sadly only two cask pumps and only one of these had anything on at the time. I opted for a Shandon Stout by Franciscan Well which was a great tasty beer.

An evening watching the fireworks in chorlton with a couple of friends could have ended up anywhere.
We chose the elk for a few casual drinks after the fireworks which was enjoyed by all.
The décor of the place was pretty standard with nice wooden floors.
The people who work here are very kind and even replaced the toilet roll promptly once it had ran out!
The music consisted of a man playing classic sing along songs on his guitar which had a good crowd joining in. Following this was some more music perhaps a little loud if talking across the table, but we managed by raising our voices.
