Tesco Extra Middleton

I was in your store today and was looking for fish cakes which I rarely eat so couldn't find them so asked the first assistant I saw who was busyl where to get them and he told me he was very polite and when I got to where they were he left stocking the shelves and took the time to come to me and told me they were also on a special at the end of a certain aisle. He then left again came to make sure I got what I wanted which I did. He was so polite and very kindly came looking for me to ensure I got customer satisfaction. He's a star and deserves to be recognised to ensure I got customer satisfaction his name is Stuart. Unfortunately when I checked out I then asked another assistant where to recognise him she grufly told me to go to customer service desk but as I am ill I had no time I was deflated. I did't get her name unfortunately but it was on the self service desks. I was so glad I didn't need any help from her

This Tesco appears to be doing better than it has been. They seem to have modernised it within the past few months.
Now, if you come to this store they have Scan as you shop facilities — making the checkout process easier, just scan your items and then scan the scanner on special scan it yourself tills and it is 10x quicker than your normal checkout process. This is only for Clubcard holders only, it is worth getting a Clubcard because it costs nothing and you get money off coupons and vouchers depending on what you spend and on the things you buy, sent to you.
This store has a better sweet Gluten Free range, with large amount of Christmas things in. The selection, I would not class as superb as other stores have set a better example, but they have really improved it with large selection of Christmas Tree Shortbread and Crumpets, Nakd christmas pack, Yule log etc. Still the Freezer lets it down, they is very little items in the freezer and it seems they never sell them because they only sell the same few items, mainly their own brand, to be honest they are not even that great and the price for that quality is like daylight robbery.
They do have some nice Gluten Free (but not labelled as) meals, I picked up a Seafood and Chicken Paella for about £3.50, it was just a shame I could not get any other gluten free meals in that 2 for £6 offer. If you just consider their Free From alternatives, like I said that is poor.
The staff here are sometimes nice and helpful and sometimes act like they don’t want to be here and don’t care about the customers.
The café staff in particular don’t show any passion or show that they want to be there, but that is a separate review and I don’t know if it is Tesco that run the café, as another company prints on the receipt, but Tesco have put their trust on them and I must think that they regret entering a contract with them, if they is one.
This store is getting better but not for frozen free from, so for now I am delighted to upgrade Tesco Extra Middleton to 3 stars. The Petrol prices here with the Clubcard money saver are phenomina!
