Compared to the Tesco located just east of here, this one is *much* better. It’s still an Express, so they don’t offer as much a variety as you’d find in other groceries, but it’s larger than the tiny Express. So strange how one city block can make such a big difference in the manner of the store. Their increased variety seems to be mainly on processed goods for students to run in and grab on their way to or from classes; they have a decent selection of fresh veg but not a huge variety. They seem to be run more efficiently here as well, with fewer line bottlenecks even in the busy hours, and without the creepy security guard following me around making me feel all self-conscious. Bonus: it’s located right next door to Lidl, so you can hop to Lidl for your cheaper shopping and swing by Tesco to grab anything else you might need. Worldwide is just down the street in case you need something else exotic that’s at neither of these shops. This pretty much makes up the main grocery trifecta for people living nearby — these three stores combined will cover most of your needs.
