In my mind, Ted Baker has always been the poor man’s Paul Smith. It’s the place people go when they love the style and tailoring of Paul Smith but can’t actually afford the clothes. This particular store is located between Harvey Nichols and Selfridges and seems to attract a mix of well heeled customers. The stock is presented well and includes a strong mix of in-house labels like Mainline, Endurance, Global, Born and Archive. The materials are good quality and both the men and womens clothes seem stylish and well made. There’s just nothing that has the Wow factor, like there is in, ahem, Paul Smith.
