If you fancy becoming the next Ronnie O Sullivan or Stephen Hendry, then Steven Charles Snooker Centre is the kind of place you’ll have to spend your whole life in.
Thankfully, it’s a welcome change from the snooker halls where I didn’t spend quite enough of youth in to get any good. Rather than being shabby, smoke filled and dim, it’s moodily lit and classy with red and black furnishings.
They serve food all day, every day as well, with a full breakfast a snip at £3.50 and burgers, pies and curry on offer too.
Oh, and if you actually do want to become the next Ronnie, this place is open 24 hours. So the time to become great is there if you want it. Probably not for me.

Between Manchester Evening News Arena and Park Inn Hotel lies Steve Charles Snooker Club.
I am not a massive fan of snooker but had a dabble during my student days. This place always has free tables, is one of the largest in the U. K and is a family run business so its thumbs up from me.
The bar has pretty reasonably priced drinks and you can get quick bites to eat wile you play… or watch and criticise like me (the backseat driver of snooker). :)

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, the Steven Charles Snooker club is the John Higgins to your Ronnie O’Sullivan– ever-​present, dependable and classy and unlikely to get you hurt on a Saturday night.
With 16 table it is one of the largest halls around so you are always likely to get a table quickly if not immediately. Though should the unlikely event of haven’t to wait a while ever occur, the cheap food and drink and swanky surroundings will more than lessen the blow.
A really top establishment.
