This spar store is just off Rochdale Road, in Manchester City centre near the Caffe North. When I walked in, the door frightened me and continued to do so when others’ did, a simple bell ringing is okay but when a door is opened, this store has something that sounded like a alarm which was quite weird. Many items here were overpriced, such as Starbucks Coffee Beverages and Coffee its-self! The store had a small gluten free range, with a few macaroons but it was very small however this was nice for a small Spar store and the staff seemed polite, as a result of this I give 2 stars because the sound when a door was opened and some of the prices is just outragous!

Another Spar and another review on it. You may think there’s nothing really special about it, and I will tell you that yes, there is really nothing special about it. It is Spar and well Spar is famous just by being there, providing and being convinient! Ok, now I’m just trying to write something about this Spar when there’s nothing extra-ordinary! Wrapping up, Its Spar(the one everyone is familiar with) and it does your job without complaints!

You can always trust Spar to be a decent convenience store, because they have the experience and understanding to know how to balance their stock levels such that there is a decent mix of all. You don’t end up with too many obscure magazines or sweets that nobody will ever want. It makes them a little less original and quirky, but a lot more useful.

This Spar has loads of magazines and newspapers to choose from, which is probably the only reason I pop in every now and then. Other than this, it’s fairly unremarkable but is slightly better stocked than the other convenience stores in this area. It’s tucked down a little side street off Shudehill which sometimes puts me off late at night, but if you go early evening you can queue along with rest of the local young professionals for your bread, milk, Guardian newspaper and four pack of Becks. Oh, and it had a really large selection of wines, beers and spirits considering the size of the store.
