Ive been coming to the podiatry centre upstairs above the shop for the past 2 years as my love of high heels and sport tends to play havoc on my tootsies.
If you are expecting a pedicure then this isn’t the place for you, this is a functional «turn my hooves back into feet» type operation, they do gait analysis and sell orthotics to sort out any dodgy under or over pronation that results in achy hips or knees.
Your treatment starts with a nice foot soak. Remember to remove nail varnish before your appointment as your podiatrist will check the health of your nails and they can’t do this if your are sporting this seasons must have colour!
Sheila is the lady who has been working her magic on my feet every 8 weeks or so although the other podiatrists are nice as well. They do early morning appointments as well as weekends.
If you take out a treatment plan you can save up to £46 which is great if you need some work on your feet.

OK, so not exactly Byron, I know, and poetry should never conclude with Cockney rhyming slang, but sometimes a girl needs a poem, aight?
Shuropody looks like the kind of greying shabby shop you’d find in the North East (home of greying shabby shops), so it’s weird to see it on Deansgate. But that aside, it’s quite a good wee shop.
I popped in to get some humble insoles for my trainers (my proper go-​to-​the-​gym ones, yuk) and though I don’t need any proper chiropody, I now know where to come if I do find myself in need of orthotics (me either), verruca gel or orthopedic sandals…
The staff are very helpful, and were more than happy to advise me on my insole purchase. They are trained to give more orthopedically challenged customers the very best advice and info.
It’s not a glam shop, but it’s one of those that you’ll be glad of if ever you need it. And where else are you gonna get insoles?
