Ok, so having had no lunch whatsoever over the last few days, due to my volume of work(I know, I can hear the violins playing) but please bare with me. I decided to pop down the road to the local Sainsbury’s on Mosley Street, M/cr. On entering(between 1pm-1.15pm) it was quite busy with the normal suit brigade, general shoppers and the like… What I found to be quite weird was that the General Assistant chose to be a barrier in front of the products that I was trying to view!!! This is very upsetting, when you have limited time to just grab something… ANYTHING Anyhow, with bitten lip and perseverance, I asked the ‘Human Wall’ if it was at all possible that I could get a sighting of the products on offer? Could you believe that I then received a look of disgust and even a slight grunt! I hastened to point out that I was the customer and not for much longer, should this individual not position themselves in a better position. For clarification: — I do understand that products need to be kept up to certain levels during busy periods(due to my knowledge of back filling shelves etc.) Oh, by the way, for those that do not know, the fresh products are usually to be found at the back of the shelf… :) Anyway, after said ‘wall’ moved for the minimal of time, I picked something quickly, purchased and left. It actually left me in a state of shock which resulted in a loss of appetite altogether! Not sure I will be back here in a hurry, and the two stars awarded are simply because the cashier wished me a ‘good day’ and the store was generally clean.
