Saajan has become one of my favourite Kebab house recently. It may not look the best but believe me the food is excellent. The chicken I always have is succulent and juicy and so is the lamb, always cooked slightly pink which is a first for me in a kebab house! There is all your usual kebabs including chicken tikka, lamb tikka, donner, chicken donner etc. As well as various currys, starters, lamb chops, fish. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, about £5.50 for 2 meats on nann with salad and sauce cannot be beat for quality and price. There is a decent sized seating area upstairs as well as down stairs. This place is always busy, even at 2am in the morning! The only let down is the onion bhajis which are just microwaved and go a little soggy and loose there fresh crispiness but this is not a reason not to try here. If you are after decent food at decent prices then you must try. Just don’t expect the Ritz…

A great little lunch time spot — if you can find somewhere to park. We ordered to chicken kebabs on Naan bread — they were bloody delicious. The only reason why it’s a four not a five star is basically the time it took to be served . It was not that busy and we waited approximately 45 mins for two kebabs They were great! And it was quite cheap too !

I’ve not been into this particular Saajan in a while, but from what I can recall it was certainly a nice place to head to for a quick snack or takeaway, although I don’t think I would ever use it as a restaurant as the upstairs would seem to urge. There are several of them dotted about, and they’ve been going for a while so they have experience where other takeaways have only enthusiasm and ideas. It shows as well, because the food is often a cut above what you’d get at a lot of other places. The prices are good as well, so it’s an easy choice to pick when back late. I still rate Caspian’s as one of the best though, and Sadaf’s as a very tasty but expensive choice, and Saajan, to me anyway, is not quite good enough to join the top takeaways, instead remaining as a good option.

Fresh food and reasonable prices; these qualities define saajan which is one of the best take out spots along the curry mile in my opinion. Not a lot on the aesthetics approach distinguishes it from its contemporaries however. Indoors is plenty of seating and the service is quick and efficient, if you’re not into the pick up and run mode you can sit down and get some decent meals. The starters and mains are great with lots of on the premises prep. When the bill comes you won’t be disappointed either, saajan is relatively cheap. Does what few kebab places along curry mile do, it does it consistently to a high standard.

Saajan is another mediocre looking eat in/take out in Rusholme but the food here can be amazing. Even moi, who usually turns her nose up at any form of kebabs has been known to frequent Saajan. And it is a bit of an institution(there’s another one on Wilmslow Road down in the Fallowfield end). Saajan has been rustling up asian cuisine for about fifteen years now, I believe. They must be doing something right. Saajan promotes itself as only using the finest ingredients and things like that — but its definitely all 100% Halal and the food really does taste good. Fresh starters, unusual mains — like prawns — and a great, fast service make it stand out from some of its rivals. This one has plenty of seating upstairs, and a few tables downstairs, so you don’t have to only enjoy their delights in the cold outside. I hate the cliché bright orange and red of the counter and its still not something I would think of as a proper restaurant though, but still.

Excellent! The freshest kebabs and starters around. This one has plenty of seating upstairs so ideal for taking the family, group friends etc. Strongly recommend this place everytime.

There’s a good selection of kebabs to choose from and it’s always quite busy. They have huge standing tandoori ovens which give the meat and bread the perfect flavour. Something’s missing from this place though… I just never tastes as fresh as Al Quds and the sauce doesn’t match Caspians. Still probably the 3rd best place on the mile though. No Kobodeh — the legendary persian kebab.
