Rajas is fast becoming a takeaway institution to rival Abduls and where the latter succeeds in making flavourful and well-loved kebabs the former is blazing a trail with tasty pizzas. There are other items available at Rajas, of course there are. Chips, burgers, fried chicken all the usual takeaway stuff. For a takeaway it’s necessary to hedge your bets a little especially if you’re positioned, as this branch is, between two pubs and across the road from punk ‘n’ metal club Satan’s Hollow. But I digress. Pizza; this is what Rajas does best. Offering a range of Indian and Pakistani inflected topping combinations From keema achar to lamb balti as well as tried and tested favourites like cheese & tomato and tuna & sweetcorn. They’re a little more expensive than the Fallowfield standard(around £3.50 each, with the most expensive, Rajas Meat Feast, costing just over £5) but they are good. If you’re in the area and in the market for some nice fresh baked pizza then I can highly recommend Rajas.
