Just moved to the area from London so my expectations are quite high. Its a decent enough looking pub. However I was not impressed with the food its a Smith&Jones Pub chain probably cant expect much from a pub chain anyway. Football was on but for me not being a football fan, it also didn’t impress(probably unavoidable anyway) However staff seemed friendly enough. Its fine to go there for a couple of drinks, but personally I wouldn’t recommend the food!

It’s a decent pub for a drink, clean and well maintained. Food wise, it is cheap and on the whole, my family enjoyed the food. The kids and I found the menu lacking in vegetarian options, which spoilt it rather. There was only one veggie main course(lasagne– boring and unappetising). The veggie sandwich and jacket spud options almost exclusively involved cheese. I decided on the spicy beanburger and chips and when it came, it was a veggie burger, which I would certainly not have ordered if they’d actually told me they were out of beanburgers. I didn’t want to make a fuss, as my parents had kindly treated us to lunch there, so I shut up and ate up for their sake. Wetherspoons pubs cost around the same for meals and have more varied options for vegetarians.

A fairly decent pub that shows live football on the big screen and has decent food. Can get a bit«lively» on a Saturday night.

The Moss Vale is as traditional pub as you are ever going to find in Mancheter. It’s not far from the Trafford Centre and it’s my family’s local pub. It’s not closest to any of our houses anymore but it was closest to my Grandad’s and we go here for any and every family occasion. We even have our own table. It’s a great little place serving really good food at a good price. I’m talking pub food but very good pub food. My Grandad used to have the gammon everytime and everytime he would always finish it and always tell us how good it was. Quiz night on a Monday is worth popping down to and live sport is also shown there so it’s hugely popular on match days. My favourite pub.
