I’m a fan of M&S but this place annoys me as its so damn customer unfriendly, so much so that I’m inclined to go elsewhere so I only go here if I’m stuck. First of all the car park is very small and its difficult to find a parking space and when, or if, you do its pay parking(50 pence for an hour and an hour is the maximum parking allowed — well the car park sign says an hour is free for M&S customers but this is provided a customer spends a minimum of £5 in — store, so the plain fact is that this misleads as it’s not free parking at all. Disabled drivers are only free when parked in a disabled bay of which there are few — and these are not extra wide spaces. Worse still the car park is policed by some guy lumbering about in a high viz jacket. Then ya gotta have the appropriate coin to pay for a shopping trolley. Then there’s the wee woman who reduces stuff as the sell by dates are up. I’ve observed her a few times and she is sooo slow, she starts and stops while supposedly doing the job, with more stops than starts. There’s one wee pensioner I’ve noticed who tends to loiter I think he’s waiting for the reductions to be made and it strikes me that she is deliberately stalling her work because he is about. May be wrong but why else would she stop so often just to amble about around the bakery area?!

This branch of Marks and Spencer is classified as a Food store although it does stock some other ranges. It is a small store with a cosy feel. The staff are very pleasant and professional and always willing to help. There is a small car park which can get very busy. It is easily reachable as it stands on the main A56 road. There is a good range of fresh food. The fruit and vegetables are always top quality. The shelves are well stocked. There are always some fresh flowers which are great if you need to pop in to buy a quick bunch. This is a great branch of M&S and very convenient.

This is quite a small store that stocks mostly food but has a small selection of clothing. It usually has a fine selection of flowers and is very handy to pop into to grab some blooms on the way to the mother in laws. Small carpark that gets very busy on weekends.
