Mario’s Fish Bar

Mario’s has been going forever! I’ve been eating there for 25 years myself, and the quality has been consistent all that time. I get pensioner special rates now, though!
It’s just a good old fashioned chipper — the service is fast and friendly and they do excellent chips.
There’s an adjoining sit down area too — not fine dining, with formica topped tables and sauce in squeezy bottles.
The menu stretches to liver & onions and the like. The tea comes boiling hot in mugs.
All in all, a bit of a time capsule, well worth a visit. Enjoy!
