There was a large queue in Greggs which is next door to this sandwich shop. That should have been my first clue. Being in the vicinity after visiting the Imperial War Museum, I had high expectations of Let’s Do Lunch to sort me out with a delicious sandwich. Alas, stepping inside I was met with a drab deli, sparse selection of sandwich fillings and churlish proprietor. I probably should have turned around and walked out, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and order a chicken salad baguette(it was the most exciting option, it appeared). They had two ‘Meal Deal’ options on, one slightly more expensive than the other though it wasn’t clear why, which the cashier automatically asserted that mine was the dearer of the two(I had a fizzy Vimto and packet of salt & vinegar crisps). An incredibly disappointing experience, not to mention the sandwich. Let’s Do Lunch Elsewhere.

My go to sandwich place when I’m on Trafford Park for work. They have every kind of bread you could want and a huge range of fillings with all the extras. I eat a weird sandwich. People look at me funny and ask if I’m pregnant every time I order it(it’s a food baby ok!!). Here the poor lady is used to me now and just smiles at me as she prepares what another sandwich shop came to call the ‘nuclear fall out’(owner there tried it and claimed it made her ill…) They also do a great range of hot food along with a couple of daily specials and will take an advanced order over the phone if you are in a rush.
