I’ve put my head round the door of this place a couple of times now, but not felt inspired to eat here. Today, the vegetarian options on the bain marie were channa, dhal(which *might* have been soft, but certainly wasn’t remotely soupy), fried rice and cauliflower & potato curry(mainly potato). I’d already eaten lunch at Real Taste up the hill, but I don’t feel inspired to return for a full Rice &3 curries meal here, especially given the quality of neighbouring establishments in the vicinity of the mosque — Mughal Taste and *especially* Qila Khyber are both practically next door. Redeeming features — proper tandoori chapati, and probably OK vegetarian samosa and pakora. So in the warmer months I might conceivably bring a dressed salad from home to be spiced up by some of their bread and savouries to go. As with all my reviews, the caveat is that I only review vegetarian offerings — omnivores, YMMV, with a non-veg biryani featuring whole jalapenos looking worth a try.
