Overbooked. Horrendous customer service. Never staying at a holiday inn of any kind again. Avoid!!! Checked into this hotel after a long day at 11pm. They immediately start apologising and I know somethings wrong. There’s a system issue and they seemed to have overbooked the hotel; now they have to send me to another hotel but the room will be ‘exactly the same.‘ They send me to the holiday inn Central Park which is a) outside the city centre & b) a downgrade from the holiday inn express(although I didn’t know it at the time). I arrive at the holiday inn and its immediately obvious that’s it’s very dated and not a new build like the holiday inn express. The room I was given was worse than a Travelodge and it was on the first floor with a window looking out on the parking lot, etc. — nothing like the modern double bedroom with a sofa bed that I had reserved and paid for. After politely requesting I be moved to another hotel, the manager Jose from 2 Oxford holiday inn express basically gave zero sh*ts and told me it wasn’t his problem but he would give me a free nights stay another time. No way Jose. Last time I will ever be at a holiday inn thanks to your appalling Customer service.

Very friendly staff. I belong to the IHG program so they’re very generous to their members. I appreciate the little touches that make you feel at home. I’m quite satisfied with the IHG group they have fantastic programs to help boost points

We thought this hotel was very nice! Relatively new, super clean, nice indoor pool and fitness room, non smoking hotel. Front desk was very efficient. Fills up this time of year… they were turning a stream of people away, so plan ahead. Breakfast was typical, and packed, but they did fine. Pricey, but close to Nashville, so that’s the way it is.

Don’t go here if the temperature is going to be above 80 °F, their cooling system fails and none of the windows open. The rooms become stifling !

Located close to city centre, just north of the universities, and around the corner from the Oxford Road station, this is a good place to set up shop if you’re going to be in Manchester for a while. Customer service is always friendly, the prices are fair for the location, and hey, you get a decent breakfast as part of the package. If you’re in the mood for a better breakfast, there are plenty of places that you can hit up within easy walking distance(seriously, city centre is just right there… you don’t need to go far for anything). Rooms are dressed up in modern décor, though some have a strange layout. Everything’s kept clean and tidy. Overall, this is a great hotel, and the one I recommend to people when they’re stoping by Manchester.

The last Holiday Inn Express I stayed at in the UK the elevators never seemed to work. So I wasn’t expecting much. This one the elevators worked. This appears to be a fairly recent addition to the Holiday Inn Express offering. Rooms are small but nice enough. The bathrooms are lit by this odd blue light that give your bathroom a certain night club appearance. The showers(no tubs) are new and nice. No real shampoo/lotion/etc. freebies. Everything is in a wall mounted pump bottle. The breakfast buffet is adequate. I marveled at the marmite(now banned in Belgium). The sausage was okay. The eggs were… well… ugh. There’s no variation in the buffet from day to day. But the breakfast buffet area is clean, spacious, and modern. The hotel itself is a short walking distance from their trade show exhibition building. There are a bevy of restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
