I had the misfortune to visit, to celebrate the 34th Birthday of a family member, after serving our drinks, the 34 yr old was«challenged» to prove she was over 21, as she couldn’t we were rightly told she could not consume the drink she had purchased, we sat as a group of 8 at a table waiting for the rest of our party, NOONE at the table had a drink in their hand as we were approached yet again by the staff member and told again in a very rude and abrupt manner that the drink was not to be touched. The 34 yr old then decided to return home for her passport, on her return as she held her passport in her hand, she took a drink, and was immediately approached by the Manager/Landlord and told that we were not welcome and to leave the pub immediately, I found the attitude of the Manager to be hostile, and bombastic, When asked who we would write to to complain we were advised that the person we were speaking to was the owner and that communication should go to him. and he would throw it in the bin! words were passed, and we then left. Sadly another customer actually collapsed in another room and required Emergency treatment and hospitalisation, a customer advised that the coat the Man had brought with him had gone missing, this was met with a stone cold denial that this had happened by the Manager. Overall I would advise avoiding this place at your own peril, I have since discussed this incident with local friends and neighbours who have spoken quite openly of the erratic manner and attitude of the people in Charge.
