I have not been here for a few years now
so couldnt remember what the food was like?
The whole place was fairly empty but this
was in the afternoon when i went.
I order a penne arrabiatta which is roasted peppers
and red chilli in a neapolitan sauce with penne pasta
and i order chips to go with it rather than salad.
it tasted ok to start but was left with a little bit to much
after taste in my mouth of chilli so i tried to wash it down
with my so called diet pepsi which was not the original
but tasted like a cheaper brand.
for dessert i had my favorite waffle and icecream topped
with cinnomon and toffee sauce.
it was ok but have had bettar on wilmslow road.
mybe thats why have not been in back in two years!
but generally speaking its not a bad place and service
was excellent so i give them some credit.

My friend wanted to go here last week because he got a free meal voucher from them for his birthday.
The waitress took our food and drink order at our table but when our drinks arrived the order was wrong. I ended up with a jug of the cocktail I ordered instead of just a glass. I didn’t want to be charged for this so I informed them that I only ordered the one glass as I was the only one drinking alcohol. The staff said I could have the entire pitcher for the same price as a glass because they’d just throw it away anyway. Who can say no to free cocktails. I was thankful for the understanding staff.
The portions are always rather large but you this means you definitely get what you pay for.
Their coleslaw is just to die for, I could have just had a plate of that!

Quite an enjoyable place if you fancy an Italian American chain restaurant, and sometimes I do. The food is italian american fare naturally. It’s pretty standard stuff and may have seen a microwave. I usually go with my brother for the lunch deal which runs until 5pm. You can get a bottomless soft drink for about £2.50 and 2 courses £9.45 or 3 for £10.95. You can also get a discount on Mondays on the general menu. There’s lot of booths plus the usual tables. I always enjoy the classic American music they play here, think Pretty Woman and other 50s rock n roll. I also like the italian lessons on audiotape they play in the loos.
Parking is free although gets busy at times. Close to bus and tram stops.

So I saw the first review for this place, but I decided it was worth a try. I organised my Grandads birthday here and I have to say, it was outstanding.
We arrived and was showed straight to our table, set up nicely for 5. Despite their being 2 large christmas parities, there was almost no wait for our drinks and food was ordered asap. The lovely red haired waitress was wonderfully polite and funny and once she heard it was my grandfathers birthday she made sure his desert had a candle in and all the staff joined in singing happy birthday.
So to recap: The service was top notch, the food was delicious and the price was brilliant! On a monday you get 25% off your final bill, which was even better!!!

Frankie and Benny’s has always been a surprisingly pleasurable visit for me, as I’m not much of a fan of fairly-fast food chain places. However the food has always been of a good quality when I’ve visited, and the portions are of a very generous size. The music is easy listening old school crooners, which must drive the staff insane after a while, but is a nice change to the music you normally hear in eateries.

Lovely place with really friendly staff & excellent service. The food was delicious– would recommend the cheesecake– it was to die for! Great for families too & they provide a kids ‘goodie bag’ which my kids loved. Lots of variety on the menu & the kids meals are a good price. Overall it’s excellent with good quailty food & a nice, pleasant environment. Love the music too!
