Diamonds And Pearls

This just reminds me of the song Prince sang (can I call him that now?) from his album that he then went on to boycot. Ah, happy days.
Anyway, enough about him. I’m not entirely sure why this shop is called Diamonds and Pearls. There are definitely no diamonds and pearls in here. The only justification I can think of for giving it this name is that their tacky products are aimed at the 12 – 16 year old market, and some of them might, if they have a brain the size of a pea, think that they’re somehow being sold a diamond or a pearl for the bargain price of £6.99.
True, this shop know its niche and serves that demographic rather well (well, someone must buy their stock). It just doesn’t happen to be me.

Now now fellow Unilocaler do not put down such a well thought out name… it must have taken them years and thousands of pounds in branding research to come up with this catchy little name!
