New coriander. Took ages to get served, ages to be offered a drink, food was ok but expensive, and everything has to be ordered separately, which makes it over priced. Restaurant was very noisy, couldnt hear the conversation, when I asked for the poppadoms to be taken off the bill for such a long wait the waiter was rude. Then gave us the wrong bill ! wont be going back too much stress and too expensive for what it is !

I’ve had a good feeling about this place since first cycling by. It could of course be my obsession with coriander and desire to attempt to add it to everything, but also that it looked like a nice little spot that wouldn’t charge the earth for some good grub. And, I was right! We had a very tasty selection of dishes, a little on the hot side but that’s cause I thought I could handle the ‘hot’ ones. Might stick to ‘medium’ the next time. It does all taste very fresh and free from all things artificial as they suggest. The menu is broad with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. Mains generally come in at around the £6.50−7.50 bracket, unless you opt for seafood which can be a bit more. There’s a ‘happy hour’ for dining in from 5−6pm: 3 courses for £6.90, a Thursday offer of 3 courses for £9.90 and a 20% discount on Sundays from 2 – 5.30, or so it says on the current takeaway menu anyway. Also, it’s 15% cheaper for take out, so there are no excuses! The service was great, everyone is very friendly, polite as well as quick. Give it a go! c*

Far from the madding Mile, way away down South in the North, you’ll find Coriander. Super friendly service, a focus on non-greasy and natural(no MSG, nothing from a tin, allegedly) and an excellent range of beer and wine, you’ll find Coriander. On the tin, it’s Indian, but it’s Bengali inside. This is to be seen as a good thing. On first warning: I’m a lover of the spice, and this place is the spice. As in, unless you’re of the wankery«I thought you said it was a HOTONE» crowd, go a half step down. Excellent, filing dishes — we chose from the«Our invented house special» section — and god times had by all. And where else can you get curried duck, I ask you?
