A nice little gallery situated on Portland Street near the city centre. The art is worth a look if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t say it was worth making a special trip for. Art is such a subjective thing though, that for others this art is probably more special. Technically there is no doubting the art-work, as the drawings are incredibly precise. They are mainly landscape drawings, though there are also some paintings and sculptures that are worth a look at. Most are oil on canvas. The prices vary, but you can pick up a small watercolour drawing from somewhere around the £40 mark, but these are of course not framed. They go up in price over the hundred mark for some of the larger and more intricate works. Please note, the gallery is closed on Saturday, and can only be accessed by appointment on Fridays.

This is a delightful place that’s been here for over 40 years and is still run by the proprietor and artist Colin. As well as exhibiting his own work, he invites local artists to exhibit in group exhibitions. They cover all kinds of mediums from from sculpture, paintings and drawings. I really love the charming warm décor of this gallery. Check out his website for recent work and painting currently for sale, although I recommend seeing them for yourself.
